India has a large higher education system. The growth rate of educational institutions in India was very slow before Independence in 1947. Today there are so many schools and institutions that it has indeed become difficult to ascertain in which direction most of them are headed or what kind of methodologies are being implemented to impart a sound and thorough academic foundation for the coming generations of our nation.
