Frequently Asked Questions

How is Sanskardham different from other schools?

The training and development program offered at Sanskardham is strategic, relevant and comprehensive. It does not offer specialization but an overall development and a holistic approach centered around each individual child. Every single aspect related to academics and extra curricular activities is carefully designed so that the child can blossom into a good human being and an ideal citizen. Enough space and time is given for learning, growth and developing a humanistic approach to the world through community living. Training is given through activities such as gaushala and horse riding.

How are Sanskars inculcated in a child without being nurtured and brought up in a family?

It is quite possible. A well known fact is that if you discipline the child during his developmental years then a high level of discipline is automatically achieved. A daily schedule in Sanskardham is designed in such a way that various aspects of punctuality, time management, independent decision making abilities and agility are developed via strategic programs. This eventually results in a thorough grooming of the child.

Why does Sanskardham admit students only after Std V? Why not earlier?

According to modern scientific and psychological research a child needs love and care during his tender young age and growth period. In the absence of love or care, history as well as science has given us several instances of a child growing up in wrong manner. Taking the example of scriptures we have seen how even Gods like Shree Ram and Lord Krishna were sent to Gurukul only after completing their eleventh year. Truly for a young child the best possible teacher is his mother and at Sanskardham we believe that only after basic lessons in life are learnt from the immediate family can a child be admitted to the Gurukul system. Thus it is imperative that children are admitted to Sanskardham only after age eleven.

What are the steps that Sanskardham undertakes in order to develop a strong family like experience?

Students are grouped in small batches of 25 each. Each batch is supervised and guided by an Abhibhavak - Acharya or guardian teacher. This teacher and supervisor helps to remove all hindrances or obstacles faced by the student. Through a group and community the student learns from his colleagues and helps each other in illness and times of need, homework, group work, etc. This gradually develops into a community bond. Games designed to create a family like environment are held regularly during morning and evening hours.

Would secluding a student in a place like Sanskardham disillusion the student? It may keep him closer to nature but will it separate him from the realities of urban life?

The very thought of Sanskardham being isolated from the outside world is wrong and misjudged. Our facilities are unparalleled and no other school can claim equal competence or boast of such facilities. Fully equipped with advanced computers and internet connectivity our pedagogy is much more holistic and centralized than others. Subjects like social science, mathematics, science and most subjects that are taught through conventional methods in other schools are taught via computers at Sanskardham.
