Educational Facilities:
Our facilities have been built and designed very strategically keeping every minute detail with regards to overall academic life in mind. These facilities enable students to be trained for an unpredictable future and not just for their individual career paths. We do not believe in mere bookish knowledge and this is the key factor that distinguishes us from the rest. The objective is not to make them specialists but to hone their all round skills. The school is divided into a main academic block and a hostel building which is interspersed with landscaped lawns and playing fields. The two storied academic block houses well designed and well ventilated spacious classrooms that also optimize natural ventilation. Modern ergonomic furniture ensures proper seating posture and a fatigue less environment. Modern science and computer laboratories, an audio/visual room and art activity centers expose the students to all kinds of mediums.
Science Laboratories:
The school's laboratories are well equipped and serve as valuable means of enhancing the teaching and learning of the scientific world and the fundamentals of modern science. Practical and hands on experience is ensured for every individual student and there are several opportunities to learn from experimentation. Science as a study is a core subject right up to class X and is taught to all pupils. Later, students can choose between several disciplines with respect to individual interests.
Crafts:
Supervised afternoon and evening laboratory sessions will allow students to undertake a considerable amount of personal project work. Crafts, traditional craft skills, woodwork and a whole list of others are a part of the general curriculum. The school also has a pottery studio and metal workshop where students are taught the fundamentals of design and the handling of power tools and implements.
Library:
The extensive library situated at the heart of the school contains approximately 10,000 books and regularly subscribes to a wide range of journals, magazines and newspapers. Students are given an orientation on library usage and related facilities in their first term and are encouraged to use it on a regular basis for research, recreation and private study. A highlight of the library is the huge collection of reference books on diverse disciplines such as science, forestry, ecology, astronomy, classical studies, comparative literature, drama, mythology, law, linguistics, medicine and statistics. The leisure reading section covers an entire spectrum from epics to bestsellers. Assistance from the librarian in retrieving information and identifying research strategies is the key to a student's library experience and the librarian also assists in acquiring specific books unavailable on campus.
Computer Laboratory:
Computers are an integral part of Sanskardham and the computer center is equipped with a network of IBM compatible PC's that are utilized for specifically targeted study projects and lessons in the form of a computer application. Individual project work is independently assessed by the concerned faculty or project head. A wide range of software is provided that covers the fields of word processing, spreadsheets, databases and more specialized areas such as design and mathematics.
Music and Drama:
Music and Sanskardham are inseparable and bring joy to everyone's lives. Students are allowed to choose from a wide range of Indian and Western keyboard as well as percussion instruments alongside basic lessons in singing. They are trained to form vocal as well as instrumental groups. These groups are further given impetus to form a school orchestra and an informal band. A modern and well equipped auditorium further helps all activities related to annual events and dramatic competitions. These colorful events also help establish a creative mindset and enable students to blossom. Theatre groups are invited to perform and conduct plays while leading theatre personalities hold workshops to encourage complete exploration of student potential.
