Academic Year:
The academic year begins with the first term that starts in the month of June and ends in the month of May. The school has structured its holiday calendar keeping in mind the schedules of parents living at distant locations. The school enjoys two long vacations from mid- April to the first week of June and the Dussera/ Diwali vacation from mid- September to the middle of October. There is also a mid term break during the traditional festivals of Janmasthami and Uttarayan.

Withdrawal:
Withdrawals from the school have to be made at the end of the academic year after issuing a three month notice in advance. If this important step is not taken at the earliest applicants will forfeit their fees. Admissions are made on a full-yearly basis and the entire fees for the current term are to be paid ahead of commencement of the year. A transfer certificate will be duly issued to a student only after all formalities have been cleared and the respective dues have been paid for.

Note: Incase of student expulsions NO remission of fees are allowed. A student may be expelled for any of the following reasons.

Misconduct and moral turpitude

Non-payment of school bills

Breaking school rules and regulations

Failing twice in the same class

Leave Rules:
Leave is not granted during a term. Special leave must be applied for and is solely at the discretion of the principal. Leave is granted for a maximum of two days during weddings or ceremonial functions of immediate relatives. Applications must be made in advance and must include a copy of the invitation. Similar leave is issued to offer condolences to immediate relatives. The two day leave period excludes travel time. Incase of an extension of vacation or leave without prior notice the students name is liable to be struck off the roll. Delays due to unforeseen circumstances will be considered on the merit of each case.

Communication with Parents:
The school places great emphasis on the involvement and interaction of parents with their school going children. Complete records are kept of every pupil's progress and performance throughout the year and a copy of the same is sent to the parents at the end of each term. These reports serve a dual purpose. One is to allow the parents to monitor the child's progress and the other is to allow pupils to reflect on their performance. It is requested by the school council that the child's parents must study the report thoroughly and consult the school's authorities if necessary anytime during normal working hours. They are also welcome to take an appointment with the principal and discuss their child's report at length. However, parents/ visitors are not allowed to visit their wards during school hours. They may meet them on Sundays or on holidays during specified visiting hours only, but not in their residential areas or dormitories. As per the school calendar, weekend outings are allowed during specified hours. The boys will not be allowed to make or receive phone calls but there is a facility made available through which calls can be recorded and the message will be passed on to the respective ward.

Pocket Money:
Children are advised not to keep any valuables or pocket money in their residence or with them.

However, a nominal sum is deposited with the house master and once a week every child is permitted to purchase anything that he desires from the 'tuck shop' against coupons. The ‘tuck shop’ is a customized store that stocks pencils, note- books, erasers, biscuits, soft drinks, chocolates, sweets, school accessories such as ties, belts, vests, shoes, socks etc.

Parents/ Guardians are requested NOT to give expensive wristwatches, cameras, tape recorders, jewelry, pens, etc to their wards. The school will NOT take any responsibility whatsoever in the event of such valuables getting lost. Additionally parents/ guardians are also requested not to bring or send eatables of any kind into the school premises.
