Activities:
The early years of childhood are times of exploration and expansion of young minds. Students share new experiences with each other and develop socially too. Through socializing, community life, the right kind of formal education and exposure to a wide range of activities the child's cognitive development reaches new horizons and a broader vision is obtained about realities of the world. Truly, education and life at Sanskardham is a broadening experience in itself. Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of sports, athletics, group activities and artistic endeavors that are both light hearted as well as time consuming. The child develops through a systematic process and gradually accumulates knowledge through experience.
The wide range of activities at Sanskardham can be broadly classified into two areas- daily activities and regular ones throughout the year. The daily routine begins at the crack of dawn at 5:00 a.m. and ends at 10:00 pm. The various activities apart from yoga, sports and music include 'Shramdan' (cleaning and cleanliness awareness program) and the RSS Shakha which gives education of patriotism and value of Indian culture and heritage. Regular activities however vary on a daily basis and students are encouraged to participate in environmental activities, health and hygiene programs, celebrations and festivities, study tours and fun excursions, naturopathy programs, group discussions, bird watching, akash darshan, debating, seminars, workship, janmdinotsav and parent teacher interactions.
Other activities that follow a weekly cycle include various competitions, school assemblies, news analysis, cultural events and knowledge tests, birthday celebrations in the form of a 'yagna', screen printing, film appreciation and many more.
Co Curricular and Sports:
The school organizes a wide range of co-curricular activities which receive as much importance as academic disciplines. The school has several playing fields, a state-of-the-art gymnasium and recreation areas that fully support sports and relaxation. Cricket, hockey, football, handball, basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis, clay tennis, table tennis, badminton, boxing, roller skating, weight training and horse riding are important activities of the year.
Besides these, martial arts and yoga constitute an integral part of the school's physical education and training program. The students are coached by professional trainers and are encouraged to participate in all sport activities that are essential to develop their group skills, social abilities and talents.
Extra Curricular:
Sanskardham expects every student to explore his talents, skills and develop into a complete individual through an extensive activity list. These activities enable students to discover themselves, build levels of self confidence and respect each other in a community. Students pursue areas such as music, drama, debates, creative writing, photography, book craft, wood craft, leather work, clay modeling, sketching, painting, sculpture and environment studies. Apart from this they are encouraged to form hobby clubs and societies, they are exposed to the world of literature, radio electronics, stamp collection, knowledge of coins, computers and the visual experience of an audio visual club. Inter-mural and intra-mural competitions are an essential part of the yearly activity calendar and test the skills of the students. Through competitions in handwriting, essay writing, singing, quizzes, elocution, story telling, drawing, painting, mimes, mono acting and community service programs, our students are allowed to get a glimpse of life beyond the school gates. In the process they learn to appreciate responsibilities, teamwork and sensitivity towards people. Regular tours, excursions and field trips expand their horizons and bring new meaning to their everyday lives.
